Flower, 1920
Album with twelve leaves, ink on paper,
inscribed and signed on all leaves by the
artist, dated gengshen year (1920), with
seventeen artist’s seals reading Changshuo,
Wu Jun zhiyin, Wu Changshi, and Junqin
dali, additional two collectors’ seals on the
back of the last leave.

Provenance
Acquired from Anhui antique store (wenwu
shangdian) in 1988.
The cover of the album is inscribed by Nagao
Uzan (1864-1942), who was a Chinese art
connoisseur and collector. Nagao worked
for Shanghai Shangwu Yinshuguan (The
Commercial Press) in the early 1910s. During
his time in China, he met Wu Changshuo and
became a friend the artist.
