19th century
The triangular form bowls variously decorated
to the exterior with warriors, ladies and
gentlemen in pavilion gardens and a festival
scene with musicians and a figure before an
altar. The largest: 28.5cm (11 1/4in) long (3).

A LARGE FAMILLE ROSE CIRCULAR
‘BIRDS’ PLAQUE
Early 20th century
Depicting a bird perched on a willow branch
looking at a lotus flower with an attendant
leaf, a smaller bird in flight below, surrounded
by bamboo stems and foliage, all enclosed
within an iron-red ground band of blue and
white enamelled clouds highlighted on either
side with a strip of gilt.

UNDERGLAZE BLUE LOBED BOWLS
Qianlong seal marks, late Qing Dynasty
Each painted to the exterior with a group of
female musicians and scholars in a terraced
garden, the interior in underglaze blue with
four Buddhist emblems alternating with
flower sprays, carved hongmu stands. 15cm
(5 7/8in) wide and 14.5cm (5 3/4in) wide (4).
