The separate top inset with a variegated pink marble panel, within flanked by twin bats below a curvilinear top rail and within shaped
an inset brass foliate scroll border, set on a T-fret frieze above finely arms carved with extending archaistic designs, the beaded aprons
carved floral and foliate scroll aprons descending to the upper legs, carved with chilong and scrollwork designs, the legs terminating in
terminating in paw feet, each side with archaistic entwined scrollwork carved scroll feet, flanking beaded stretchers, fitted seat cushions.

It is rare to find hongmu tables of this type with inset brass decorative
borders. It is pleasing to note that the design of the brass work
complements the scrolling floral and foliate carving to the aprons.
