Yuan/Ming Dynasty
The first representing the goddess Chang’e,
with billowing celestial scarf and rabbit at
her feet; the second figure with ample robes,
holding an offering dish, the hands concealed
beneath the voluminous sleeves, with red
painted decoration remaining. The tallest:

surmounted by his tall official’s hat, wearing
long robes and a belted surcoat with a large
ruyi collar, traces of gilt and lacquer. 22.5cm

A GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF MANJUSHRI
18th century
The crowned deity seated in dhyanasana on
a double lotus pedestal, the left hand raised
in vitakramudra holding the stem of a lotus 732
spray, the face flanked by elongated earlobes
and a celestial scarf framing the body,
holding a sword in his right hand.
