The flat cylindrical cover painted in rich blue tones with a scene from
Xixiang Ji (Romance of the Western Chamber) with figures on a terrace 來源：

The cover depicts a narrative from Scene 8, Book 2 of Xixiang Ji
$1,500 - 2,000 (Romance of the Western Chamber). Here, student Zhang has given
the fighting monk, Huiming, a letter asking General Du Que for help
清康熙 青花「西廂記」人物故事圖蓋盒 against the rebellious troops. Here, Zhang stands behind the abbot
with the fly whisk.
