A CELADON-GLAZED ‘LONGQUAN’
‘LOTUS’ BOWL
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY
finely potted, the deep rounded sides rising
from a short slightly tapered foot, the exterior
subtly molded with slender overlapping lotus
petals, covered overall with an unctuous sea-
green glaze, save for the unglazed footring
revealing the gray stoneware body

and galleried rim, covered overall in an even
blue-green glaze save for the footring
