With curved walls, decorated with
flower branches in polychrome enamels
on a green background (one of them is
scratched); the border decorated with
stylized, red, overglaze floral motifs on
the back. A seal, six-character, blue,
underglaze mark of the Emperor
Qianlong on a white base.

A FINE AND RARE FAMILLE VERTE
PORCELAIN PLATE
China, Kangxi (1662-1722)
Nicely painted in the tones of famille
verte, in the center portraying a
lacustrine scene of flowers and birds;
two dragons chasing the flaming pearl,
two phoenix and one peony, painted in
light blue on the border; on the border
at the back there are three branches in
red bloom. A repaired nick on the
border.
