A FINE AND RARE PORCELAIN MANDARIN MUG
China, Qianlong (1736-1795)
Extremely well painted with polychrome enamels, decorated on
the front part with a big, relieved cartouche portraying a scene of
persons; decorated on the back part with four, lobed, relieved
cartouches, painted with landscapes and birds, and with flower-
and bamboo-shaped reliefs; the body in porcelain bisquit;
monster-shaped handle. Small firing defect on the bottom part of
the handle.
