A PAIR OF BIG ROSE MEDALLION CANTON PORCELAIN VASES
China, Qing dynasty (1644 - 1911), Late 19th Century
With oblong body and flared neck, decorated with polychrome enamels with classical canton decoration that
alternates squares decorated with flowers and birds and others depicting court scenes; dog-shaped handles
attached to the neck and qilong at the neck’s base. The two vases with a star-headline at the base.

Con corpo oblungo e collo svasato, sono decorati con smalti policromi con la classica decorazione cantonese
che alterna riquadri decorati con fiori e uccelli con altri raffiguranti scene di corte; sul collo sono applicati i
manici a forma di cani e sulla base del collo dei qilong. I due vasi recano sulle basi una filatura a stella.
