            the deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot
            to a slightly everted rim, brightly enamelled around the
            exterior with eight leaf-shaped panels enclosing an Immortal,
            divided by be-jewelled mythical beasts and within bands of
            xi characters and Precious Objects, the interior with a lotus
            medallion
            17 cm, 6¾ in.
