the ovoid body rising from a short straight foot
to a short waisted neck and lipped rim, densely
painted to the exterior in deep shades of cobalt
accented by contrived ‘heaping and piling’
with flower blossoms borne of leafy scrolls,
all between a band of ruyi-motifs and lappet
border, the interior similarly decorated
