each of compressed globular form, supported on a slightly
flared footring, the cover worked in low relief with a stylised
lotus bloom wreathed by entwined foliate tendrils, similarly
decorated to the sides of the box with undulating foliate scrolls,
the translucent stone of a pale celadon tone, wood stands

QING DYNASTY – REPUBLICAN PERIOD
with a pear-shaped body surmounted by a tall waisted neck
flanked by a pair of stylised kui dragon handles, the bulbous
body with a taotie band between lotus lappets, all below a key-
fret border and a further band of lotus lappets encircling the
rim
