The bowl is potted with rounded sides rising from a short foot Works of Art, catalogue date 21 September 2001, lot 478
ring to a upright rim. The exterior is carved with overlapping Sen Shu Tey, Tokyo
upright lotus petals. It is covered overall with a thick glaze of
bluish-green tone, with the exception of the foot ring which is 南宋 龍泉窯刻蓮瓣紋盌
burnt orange in the firing.
