Similar aubergine-glazed dishes with incised pomegranate scrolls
include an example in the Museum of East Asian Art, Bath, Inaugural
Exhibition - Chinese Ceramics, vol. 1, 1993, no. 203; one sold at Christie's
New York, 16 September 1999, lot 379, another from the Meiyintang
Collection, sold at Poly Beijing, 2 October 2017, no. 3011. The design
of the Eight Buddhist Emblems appear to be more common than that
of scrolling pomegranates on dishes of this type. See, for example, the
dish illustrated by J. Ayers, Chinese Ceramics in the Baur Collection, vol.
2, Geneva, 1999, pl. 318 [A476]; and another from the National Palace
Museum, Taipei, included in Catalogue of a Special Exhibition of Qing
         Monochromes, Taipei, 1981, no. 45.
