A BLACK STONE FIGURE OF A BUFFALO
LIAO-SONG DYNASTY (AD 907-1279)
The buffalo is shown in a recumbent position with
its legs tucked underneath and head turned to one
side. The figure has a bull-nose perforation on the
underside for suspension.
