AN EXTREMELY FINE AND LARGE FAMILLE ROSE
THREE-PIECE GARNITURE
Yongzheng/early Qianlong period, circa 1740
Comprising three broad-shouldered oviform jars molded with a raised
rounded flange above the foot and three domed covers, boldly and
brightly enameled on the exteriors at the center of each swelling
body with elaborate baskets and vessels of flowers, including peony,
chrysanthemum, aster and a fruiting or budding leafy branch, the
base of vessels with a lemon-yellow finger-citron and ribbons from
the handles, all beneath richly-decorated alternate blue and iron-red-
ground large floral lappets at the shoulder, the domed covers with
lappets en suite to the body.
