to a short neck and everted rolled rim, set at the shoulder
with a pair of dragon-head handles, the base cast with an
apocryphal inscription reading Xuande wunian Wu Bangzuo
Zao (‘Made by Wu Bangzuo in the Fifth Year of the Xuande
reign’), the metal patinated to a warm toffee tone
