A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF GUANYIN
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The bodhisattva is shown seated in dhyanasana with the right hand
holding the end of a willow stem and the left hand holding a cup,
and wearing fowing robes open at the chest to reveal elaborate
jewelry. The cufs and borders of the robes are incised with foral
borders, and the hair is dressed in knotted plaits and a topknot
behind the elaborate crown centered by the fgure of Amitabha
Buddha.
