The rounded body is raised on three paw feet and incised with double lines on The top of the pillow is painted in black on a white slip ground with a lobed
the shoulder, all beneath a creamy glaze splashed with ochre, yellow and green panel enclosing a seated tiger with head turned to the side, and the sides with
glazes streaking unevenly below the ochre-glazed, waisted neck and everted a band of foliate scroll, all under a clear glaze. The base is impressed with a
rim. three-character maker’s mark, Zhang jia zao (Made by the Zhang family).
