A DOUCAI ‘ANBAXIAN’ OGEE DISH
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE
AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The sunken center is decorated with a fower head surrounded by a band of
conjoined alternating peaches and blue palmettes, below the Eight Daoist
Emblems, anbaxian, tied with ribbons and embellished with fower sprays that
decorate the rounded, fared sides. The exterior is decorated with exotic fower
scroll above a ruyi border.
