                                                                                   sold at Sotheby’s, New York, 19 March 2013, lot 220.
The censor is decorated with The Eight Buddhist Emblems, Bajixiang,
amongst lotus fowers on leafy scrolls. The neck and feet are similarly
decorated with lotus scrolls and each handle is decorated with two confronting
bats enclosing further foral scrolls. There is a later carved wood cover which is
surmounted by a stained ivory stand adapted as a fnial.
