A FAMILLE VERTE ‘FOUR SEASONS’ SQUARE VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
清康熙 五彩花鳥紋方瓶
The vase is painted to each side with fowers representing the four seasons,
peony, chrysanthemum, prunus and lotus, surrounded by butterfies, insects
and birds. There is an apocryphal Chenghua mark to the base.

A FAMILLE ROSE ‘PHOENIX TAIL’ VASE
19TH CENTURY
清十九世紀 粉彩錦雞花卉紋鳳尾尊
The vase is decorated with a shaped panel enclosing a peacock in a fower
garden and a panel showing a pair of pheasants on a fower branch, reserved
on a ground of scattered fowers and diaper bands at the foot, shoulder and
rim. The fared neck is painted with two panels of birds and fowers.
