The vase is painted to the body with two writhing dragons contesting a faming pearl, below a
band of foral scrolls and stif leaves to the neck.

A BLUE AND WHITE CIRCULAR ‘DRAGON’ BOX AND COVER
LATE 17TH CENTURY

十七世紀末 青花螭龍銜芝紋小蓋盒

The cover is intricately decorated with two dragons amidst scrolling foliage and lingzhi sprigs.
The box is painted to the exterior with similar lingzhi on leafy scrolling tendrils, below a further
delicate band of scrolling foliage to the inner mouth rim.
