IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD

清道光 五彩龍鳳趕珠碗 六字篆書款
The bowl is densely decorated to the exterior with
two striding fve-clawed dragons chasing faming
pearls, separated by two descending phoenixes.
The interior decorated to the central roundel with a
further dragon and faming pearl.

The basket is of double diamond form and is decorated in reserve to the
interior with a bird perched upon a fowering branch growing from rocks. The
strap handle and sides are decorated with the Three Friends of Winter, pine,
bamboo and prunus.
