A VERY RARE WAISTLESS HUANGHUALI FLUSH CORNER-LEG SIDE TABLE, SIMIANPING
MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The table is of ‘four-corners fush’ form, with single-panel top set within the wide rectangular
frame above a plain beaded apron and beaded stretchers issuing from cloud-form spandrels
and framing upright simplifed ruyi heads, all raised on similarly beaded legs of square section
terminating in hoof feet.
