A SMALL WHITE JADE HORSE AND
MONKEY GROUP
18TH CENTURY
The group is well-carved with a recumbent
horse, with the legs tucked under the body,
and the head turned to look at the monkey
as it carefully balances on the horse’s back
while holding the bridle in the right paw and
resting the left paw on the horse’s muzzle.
The stone is of white tone with a soft polish.

RIDING A HOBBY HORSE
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The boy is shown seated astride a hobby
horse, holding the reins in one hand and a
ribbon-tied pole suspending a banner behind
him in the other. The stone is of even, pale
greenish-white color and softly polished.
