A CARVED TIXI LACQUER BRUSH AND
COVER
MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY

Both the brush and the cover are carved
through the alternating black and red layers
with elongated scroll pattern, that on the
brush arranged in three registers between
narrow raised bands, and both the brush and
cover have a small conical tip at the end.

A ‘FU SHOU’ INK STONE
18TH-19TH CENTURY

The ink stone is cleverly carved and incised
utilizing the green and reddish colors of the
stone with a peach borne on a leafy branch
and a bat hovering above the shaped well.
The back is inscribed with two characters,
Fu Zeng.
