Each ornament is in the shape of a small duck sitting on a separately- Each hairpin has two needle-shaped prongs connected by an elliptical
made rectangular lotus leaf with curled edges; together with a miniature head delicately decorated with very fne twisted gold wire that forms a
fligree bird-form ornament, Ming-Qing dynasty (1368-1911). fower head.
