         GUANYIN
         QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
         The undulating gnarled surface is modelled
         resembling a seated figure of Guanyin wearing
         a high cowl framing her face, her long robe
         drapes around her shoulders and flows beside
         her. The rich caramel-brown wood grows
         around a stone which forms the face and chest.
