40 Depicted in this thangka is Vajrabhairava, the furious emanation of the
A THANGKA OF VAJRABHAIRAVA Bodhisattva of Wisdom Manjushri. He is recognisable by his buffalo’s
Tibet, 18th/19th century head and multiple legs and arms embracing his consort and wielding
Distemper on cloth, framed and glazed. an impressive array of attributes.
76 x 51 cm (30 x 20 in).
