A ROCK CRYSTAL DOUBLE SNUFF BOTTLE
1750-1870
The rock crystal has been carved as two snuff bottles conjoined in
a way that one appears in front of the other, the shoulders of each
carved with animal mask and ring handles.

A RED-OVERLAY MILKY GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
POSSIBLY PALACE WORKSHOPS, BEIJING, 1760-1820
267 The bottle is carved through the transparent red glass overlay to the
slightly cloudy ground on one side with a medallion containing a
scholar and an attendant walking beneath a pine tree, the other side
with a boy riding a water buffalo and approaching a home on a rocky
outcrop beneath an arching foral branch, all between mask and ring
handles on the narrow sides.
