TWO SMALL GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES
1770-1900
The frst, a translucent white-glass bottle, 1850-1900, is carved on
either side through the yellow, pale green, pink, green, red and blue
overlays with a central shou medallion between a bat emblem above
and below. The narrow sides are decorated with a transparent glass
mask. The second, 1770-1840, is carved through the transparent red
overlay on either side with a Buddhist lion looking up at a bat.

A LAVENDER JADEITE SNUFF BOTTLE
1820-1900
The tapering body is carved in low relief on one side with bamboo
growing from rocks, and the reverse is plain. The icy stone shades
from lavender white to a deeper lavender on the narrow sides.
