Naturalistically cast seated with its legs
crossed and head turned to the right, one
hand clutching a detachable stalk of lotus
which it eyes with curiosity; signed on the
base with archaic characters Koyosai Shobei

Elegantly strutting with its head raised and
tail erect, the plumage partially gilded and its
caruncles, wattles and snood patinated red;
signed beneath its tail Yoshitani within an oval
reserve; fixed to a wood stand.
