                                                              在喬治城大學和數所其他大學任教。他也是中美關係和外交政策
                                                              的顧問。他致力發展和擴大美國國會圖書館裡的中文圖書收藏,
                                                              並成功地累積了超過一百萬冊圖書,創造了在中國境外中文圖書
                                                              數量之最。王翼教授的父親是一位著名書法家。王翼教授六歲便
                                                              開始跟隨父親學習書法。在父親的悉心教導和時常登門拜訪的
                                                              父親好友溥儒(1896-1963)和張大千(1899-1983)的耳濡目染
                                                              下,王翼教授的書法水平日益見長。後來,他開始研習古代書法
                                                              大家的石刻作品。直到現在,他還保持著每天練習書法的習慣。
