the interior vividly decorated in green enamel with a ve-
clawed scaly dragon leaping in pursuit of a ‘ aming pearl’
surrounded by ame motifs and clouds, the scene repeated
around the exterior as a frieze with two striding dragons, all
between single underglaze-blue line borders, the base with a
six-character mark within a double-circle in underglaze blue

enameled dragon chasing a ‘ aming pearl’ amid clouds and

ames within a single underglaze-blue circle have been sold at

delicately-potted with deep rounded sides rising to a ared
rim, the exterior engraved with two striding ve-clawed
dragons in pursuit of ‘ aming pearls,’ all above a border of
ruyi-heads circling the foot, the rim bordered with a classic
scroll band, the interior centered with a medallion enclosing a
shou character, the designs all picked out in green against a
bright yellow ground, the base with a six-character mark within
a double-circle in underglaze blue
