among different manufacture sites. In doing so, I have been able to demonstrate the
different perspectives of technological innovation of each manufacture. Overall, this
chapter has set up the technical grounds on which my thesis is based, and provided a
starting point for the following chapters, all of which deal with the changes that
occurred after this technical innovation.
