A ZITAN, GILT AND HARDSTONE-INLAID FIGURE OF TARA
18th century
The sinuous Buddhist deity carved with thin robes, the hands in
mudra, seated on a lotus throne in lalitasana, partially cold gilded
to the face and body, with further patterns to the robes, with inlaid
turquoise, lapis and seed pearls to the crown and jewellery. 12cm (4
3/4in) high
