Comprising: a wrist rest carved in low relief
with flowers, the exterior incised with a similar
pattern; a figure of an immortal holding a
flower basket; a miniature table screen,
carved with a scholar sage and his attendant
holding a wrapped qin; and a bat-form box
and cover. The wrist rest: 27cm (10 5/8in)
long (7).

TWO ARCHAISTIC IVORY VASES
19th century
The larger pear-shaped vase with imitation
strapwork with intricate interwoven scroll
motifs, the mouth rim flanked with beast mask
handles suspending loose rings; the smaller
vase carved with a Buddhist lion and a five-
line inscription, with elephant head loose ring
handles; together with two small ivory wine
cups, 19th century. The largest: 12.5cm (4
7/8in) high (4).
