With angular handles to the shoulder, decorated with a continuous
scene of ladies and children at leisure on riverbanks before figures
working in fields, within borders of ho-o roundels on geometric
grounds, inscribed Kinkozan zo.

A SATSUMA BALUSTER VASE
By Kinkozan, Meiji Period
Finely painted and gilt with panels of warriors before a wooded
landscape and a maiden on a bridge playing a flute, with a warrior
approaching, all on a richly decorated brocade-style ground with ho-o
roundels and stylised flowers, the base inscribed Dai Nihon Kyoto
Kinkozan.
