A SET OF THREE CARVED POLYCHROME IVORY ALTAR
VESSELS
19th century
Comprising two baluster vases with loose ring handles and a tripod
incense burner and cover with beast masks at the leg terminals, all
carved in relief with cartouches enclosing figural scenes of warriors in
battle and other narrative scenes, all reserved on an elaborate cloud
and foliate boss ground, two wood stands.
The incense burner: 26.5cm (10 1/2in) high (4).

A LARGE IVORY ‘NINE DRAGON’ SEAL
Early 20th century
The square seal with a deeply carved top section with nine writhing
dragons contesting flaming pearls amongst clouds, the seal face with
a six-character seal script impression reading Qianlong yulan zhibao,
‘seal for the appreciation of His Majesty Qianlong’. 8.8cm (3 1/2in)
