character is the word Sei, an abbreviation of the maker’s
name, and that to the right is his mark.

GETSU-TEi sEisu. Made by Shiogetsutei.

A phrase painted upon a Teapot of Kiomidzu porcelain.
Tachimachi miru hakuto yoriu no iro. It refers to the
spring-time, and tells of the bursting forth of the foliage
of the willow trees by the roadside.
