the name of the maker.

Stamped upon an Eagle of ancient Bizen ware. Yei-zan.
Yeizan, the name of the maker.

Stamped and incised upon a Lion of ancient Bizen
ware. The lower characters are Tei-ichi. Teiichi, the name
of the maker. The upper character reads Ko, and is pro-
bably his mark.

Stamped upon an Ash Bowl of Bizen Hitasukc ware, said
to have been made about 1579 a.d. The mark of the maker.

Stamped upon a Water Jar of Bizen Migakite ware, said
to have been made about 1760 a.d. The mark of the maker.
