Impressed upon a Vase of faience made by Miyakawa
Ko2AN, of Ota, a suburb of Yokohama this factory was
;
established in i860 a.d., by a Tokio merchant, named Suzuki
Yasubeye, who brought Kozan from Kioto to manage it.
It is here that most of the imitations of Satsuma faience
have been made. Ko-zan, the name of the maker.

Impressed upon a Vase of faience. Ma-kuzu Ko-zan
TSUKURU. Made by Makuzu Kozan. Kozan came from the
district of Makuzu, in Kioto, and often uses the word as part
of his mark.
