Ming, Sei-ka, nen sei. Made in the year of Seika, during

the dynasty of Dai Ming^ 1465-1487 a.d. forgery of the
Chinese mark of the Tch’ing-hoa period.
No. 4.
Another forgery of the Chinese mark of the Tch’ing-hoa
period. Painted in blue upon a large Dish, in the Dresden
Collection, of Old Japan, bearing a representation of the
baptism of Christ, a .subject which could only have been
used subsequent to 1549, when Christianity was introduced
into Japan.
