A BLUE-GROUND GILT-DECORATED BOTTLE VASE
20th century
Potted with a globular body rising to a tall waisted neck, supported
on a gently-splayed foot ring, finely decorated in gilt with a variety of
scattered decorative medallions, all between a ruyi band encircling the
mouth, a band of scrollling lotus around the neck and upright lappets
encircling the base, the foot inscribed in gilt with a six-character Da
Qing Guangxu nian zhi mark.

Late Qing/Republic Period
Well painted on the globular surface with scattered medallions of floral,
geometric and calligraphy under a band of fronted lotus and shou
characters at the shoulder, the design repeated on the curved neck, a
six -character Guangxu mark on the base, chips to rim.

A COBALT-GLAZED AND GILT-DECORATED JAR AND COVER
Late Qing/Republic period
The globular sides encircled by a continuous tableau of a phoenix
amid leafy blossoms between elaborate repeating vine and lotus
bands encircling the shoulder and foot, the clear glazed recessed base
centered by a double ring.
