THREE SMALL JADE CARVINGS
The first a circular disc carved with two confronting mythical beasts
amidst swirling clouds, the reverse incised with a hare enclosed by
bamboo, the stone a mottled grey green hue with black inclusions;
the second a scabbard displaying a raised image of a guardian figure
to the exterior, the stone a mottled dark green hue with dark russet
patches; the third a belt buckle carved in relief with chilong design, the
stone a mottled black and grey-green hue.

TWO JADE CARVINGS INCLUDING AN ARCHER’S RING , AND
A TWO-SECTION UNDERCUT DRAGON BELT BUCKLE 19TH
CENTURY
The first a two-section belt buckle carved in high relief to the top with
qilong, attached together by a dragon-head hook and reversed by
1129 raised buttons; the second an archer’s ring of standard cylindrical
shape, the stone a bright green with russet.
4in (10.2cm) length of belt hook; 1 1/8in (2.7cm) width of ring (2).

AN ASSEMBLED GROUP OF FOUR JADE CARVINGS
19th/20th century
The first a figural group of two recumbent nestling horses, the stone
of yellowish white color with oatmeal colored inclusions; the second
a standing boy clutching an oversized lotus pod by his ear, carved
from stone of whitish color; the third a bi disk covered in smooth
raised bosses to verso and c-shaped curls to recto, the stone of fairly
uniform gray green hue with white inclusions; and the fourth a ruyi
lappet shaped lock-form pendant, carved to verso with a raised relief
ruyi-scepter and lingzhi fungus and recto to read jixiang ruyi, the stone
of grey green hue.

19th century
The cups of simple domical shape thinly carved from mottled white
1130 stone, the flat bases fitting neatly into small footed stands of uniformly
green ‘spinach jade.’
