A PAIR OF HONGMU ARMCHAIRS
19TH CENTURY

Each chair has a wide shaped crest rail above the curved back splat which is inset with a darker-coloured

panel depicting fgures in idyllic garden scenes, below a smaller panel decorated with antiques, fanked

by scroll-form arms above a wicker-work seat, all supported on four straight square-section legs joined by

stretchers above the feet and below a scroll-form apron to the front.
