A DEHUA FIGURE OF BUDDHA
MING DYNASTY, CIRCA 1630
The fgure is seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base, wearing long fowing robes open at the chest
revealing elaborate beaded jewellery and a Buddhist swastika. The hair is tightly curled and the face has a
serene expression. Covered in a rich creamy white glaze.
