A FAMILLE ROSE BOWL
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN IRON RED AND OF THE PERIOD
(1821-1850)
The bowl is decorated on the exterior with formal foliate scroll
bearing four lotus blossoms suspending chimes alternating with sprays
of the sanduo, all between borders of petals below and ruyi above, and
on the interior with a central medallion of lotus sprays, peaches and
bats below a narrow border of fower sprays and peaches at the rim.
