A PAIR OF YELLOW-GLAZED JARDINIÈRES
AND STANDS
TONGZHI-GUANGXU PERIOD (1862-1908)
The circular jardiniCres have deep sides rising
to a fat, everted rim, and two drainage holes
in the base, and, like the matching stands, are
covered inside and out with a lemon-yellow
enamel, including the base where it covers a
four-character incised mark, Chuxiu gong
zhi (made for the Chuxiu Palace). The rim
edges are white.
